Had a pleasant experience till I got bit. There are signs that say feed at own risk, but u don't expect to purposely b bitten. It was a young donkey which dint even attempt to go for the horse nuts, just my fingers, and in the process dislodged a ring which was hard to remove and swallowed it. I would advise anyone with small children to stay away from the donkeys, as the bite broke skin and has left a lump and bruising. A small child would of probably lost a finger. I told the staff about it only to be told 'well I'm not sifting thru poo', which is fine seen as the ring didn't cost much, which is lucky for her because if it was poo sifting is what she would have to do. Also I got told that my rings should of come off , but I saw no signs up mentioning this. The rest of the time was brill and I would go again but next time the donkeys will get a wide...

A most wonderful place to visit, large free car park, free entry (donations welcome). A great place to see ex tram horses, donkeys , ponies. You are welcome to take carrots, apples or purchase food to take round to feed the residents. They really are gentle giants. Lovely small cafe on site , all homemade bakes and cakes, friendly staff, tea in teapots and chiba cups and saucers of various patterns, not always matching adds to the charm of this wonderful place. Little gift shop, where its a pleasure to see Stanley the dog and see all pictures of horses/donkeys you can adopt for £10 a year who could resist after feeding them fresh carrots. Definately...

A vast site with many horses and donkeys you can pet and feed. They all look really well cared for and really happy and the donkeys in particular are such characters! There is a tea room and gift shop on site and you can buy a big bucket of food with which to feed the animals for just £1.50. There is no entry fee, so please make a donation to fund their wonderful work.

It is great to see the retired horses being looked after so well, and they know how to get their treats from the visitor's, I had a great time it was well worth the visit. It is free to go there, but donations are wellcome. There is pleanty parking and has a gift shop and a lovely cafe, all the staff are extremely welcoming, many thanks to all of them.

A wonderful place to enjoy some equine therapy feeding retired horses. Then you can feed yourself at the lovely cafe with great cakes and savory delights. Finish that off with a gift for yourself or a loved one that all contributes to the upkeep of this wonderful herd of retired trammers and other working horses on the Isle of Man 🇮🇲
