Ballannette Nature Reserve — Attraction in Lonan

Great little oasis near Baldrine. Some man-made ponds and lakes have helped bring a few interesting bird species to make home, including a pair of tufted ducks amongst other things. You'll see swallows diving around trying to catch insects across the ponds and it's a great segue to take for some calming moments along the coastal path walk on that side...
