This marker point isn’t the ‘real’ fairy bridge, just a place for tourists to park dangerously at the side of the road, although I guess it’s a good thing people don’t seem to know where the actual bridge is owing to the fact that this place has been turned into a rubbish dump of sorts, with people leaving all kinds of plastic trash and trinkets behind which makes it an eyesore, and I’ve even seen deflated helium balloons stuck in the trees above from people releasing them. It seems somewhat disrespectful to Manx culture and folklore about Mooinjer Veggey too, and the behaviour displayed by visitors here is deplorable to anyone that has any form of healthy respect for the environment here.
