The place is nice and I have seen that the animals are properly taken care of. BUT if I should rate just my experience I would give only 1 star. This is because the place was extremely overcrowded, and this had clear repercussions on the mood of the animals. I did not came with kids, I just wanted to see the animals, and I was extremely stressed out and upset cause the amount of kids running around, screaming and tormenting the animals. I've seen distracted kids stepping on the tails of sleeping kangaroos, falling on them, pulling their fur or trying to force them to eat even if it was clear that they weren't hungry. The supervisors that should have prevented these things from happening were just not there. I realized that I came at the wrong time since it was pass over, but the place lacks of any method to prevent overcrowding. For example other places dispose a fixed number of tickets per hour, this place should do the same. Squeezing the most money possible out of the wallets of bored parents at the expenses of the animals living there is not good for me. So I would advise to anybody who wants to visit this place with tranquility to AVOID THIS PLACE DURING HOLIDAYS because I'm sure that you can still have a great time there, even if I had a...
Read moreUPDATE: Please, see Gan Guru's reply below - the seem to reply in a very professional manner to my concerns. Especially interesting info about Roos' shape of eyes, which make them look "sad". :-) Anyway, I have to mention, that during out visit we saw the staff everywhere, and they seem to know well what they do and explain to visitors.
On one hand, the place is large, interesting and has much to do for kids and adults (birds, kangaroos, different family activities)... But on the other hand, I couldn't look at the kangaroos (the "pearl" of this place), without almost crying. Maybe they just were tired of huge amount of families visiting them during the holidays, when we got there... Maybe it just was too much hot day (well, 80% days in Israel are hot), but I found myself explaining to my kids, why kangaroos are so sad and hardly moving... Hope the staff takes good care of them, and there was a good reason for their "sadness"; otherwise it is not a good example of how to...
Read moreWe visited the park this Pesah. Was not very full. Lovely place. We enjoyed very much from kangorus. There was also a tuki place where you can feed and put birds on your back! My girls liked it! Also there was a fun water shower corner for kids which is big fun after a walk in the hit. There is icecream & water shop at the picnic area. I also like that the staff was friendly, patient and told us interesting facts about some animals! The only sad thing was that my new dress and ny husbands pant got ruined from color on the bench, it was unprofessional to use such color that melts in the sun. But we were very pleased when the administration called us and were sorry. They offered us a refund. I found it very nice that they took care. Recommend this park to have nice...
