Halbrecht farm food garden — Attraction in Emek Hefer Regional Council

Location, location, location ;) few minutes off the highway, good variety of nearby shops and restaurants.

Access is a fair 100 paces on an unpaved road, parking is sufficient, however, not very organized.

Entrance fee looks high at first but it's actually fair considering the generous activities and facilities.

The place itself is no less than adorable, not huge but well designed as you don't feel crowded most of the time. There are a few hammocks installed among floor matts and picnic chairs and tables and its okay to bring your own food and beverages. Heck, you could probably run your kid birthday there if you want.

Activites all included in entrance fee: Focaccia bread baking, veggies garden for pick & eat plus nice guided tour , create dry beans Mandela decorations, paint on vases and plant you're choice of veggies in it, soap bubbles, dirt playground for toddlers, honey making guided tour, artisan jams and honey tastings along with chickens, donkeys and others to free range livestock to feed and pet.

An enclosed picnic space with an entrance fee. The place has some stations with different activities for kids like soap bubbles or farm animals and a garden tour. The garden tour wasn't very exciting but could be different depending on the season I guess and I kept getting the feeling there should be more staff walking around taking care of different things but there were none. So it's a place that we know, the kids always enjoy it and it's beautiful. BUT lately they raised the price for entry to 58NIS per person on weekends (also kids from age 2). So a family of four spends above 200NIS for a few hours of entertainment. On top of that the cafe inside offers food for quite expensive prices as well.
