A great spot for picnics on a sunny day, where you can easily see big turtois (turtles) swimming in the river. Well maintained and often hosts different activities open for the public. Parking is available for free. No entrance fee. Lots of shade. Observation deck allows even toddlers to take a close look at the turtois safely. Many bring their bicycle and go for a ride along the river ("rivers" in Israel tend to be quite narrow, other than some very few exceptions). If you choose to ride along the river, I am almost certain it connects to the Alexander river, which also has a well established system of (dirt) roads along its banks. I probably missed some of the attractions there, so look for more. Main entrance is next to Kfar Vitkin, east to the railroad. You will go through several industrial facilities, and past the Vitkin winery. You'll see large grass patches on your right and several parking spots next to big stones. There's also an elevated wooden observation deck that overlooks the Emek Hefer region.
