מוזיאון חצר תל- חי — Attraction in Galil Elyon Regional Council

An important landmark, critical during the establishment of the state of Israel. Yosef Trumpeldor is a legendary character in Israel History, a Russian Officer who came to live in Israel but essentially to fight for his country.. The North is part of Israel probably thanks to him and his sacrifice. He is also known for having said while dying when the fort was attacked in 1920: "It is good to die for Your Country". Heavy words, heavy significance that many of the Israeli young people and even famous singers laugh about. An education problem that is our fault, the older ones that haven't given to the history of this struggling country the part it deserves at school and in our families. Tel Hai is all about Trumpeldor and it is important that we visit this site and teach our children about him.

"חצר תל חי היא אתר מורשת לאומי בגליל העליון, סמוך לקריית שמונה, המשמר את זכרם של לוחמי תל חי ובראשם יוסף טרומפלדור. המקום מסמל את הרוח הציונית של הגנה על ההתיישבות היהודית בגליל בתקופת היישוב, ונטוע בלב הנוף הפראי של עמק החולה. האתר שימש בשנות ה-20 של המאה ה-20 כחצר חקלאית יהודית מבודדת, שפעלה במסגרת מאמצי ההתיישבות בגליל. ב-1 במרץ 1920 הותקפה החצר על ידי הערבים, ובקרב נהרגו שמונה מהמתיישבים והלוחמים, בהם טרומפלדור. דבריו האחרונים, ""טוב למות בעד ארצנו"" – הפכו לסמל לאומי. הביקור באתר כולל: החצר המשוחזרת – כולל מגורי החלוצים, המחסנים והאורווה. מוזיאון אינטראקטיבי – מציג את סיפור תל חי, תולדות הקרב, ותולדות ההתיישבות היהודית בגליל. פסל האריה השואג – יצירתו של הפסל אברהם מלניקוב, מוצב מעל בית הקברות הצבאי הראשון בארץ ישראל, בו קבורים חללי תל חי. תצפית מרהיבה – על עמק החולה ורמת נפתלי. האתר...
