Very clean place, covered with green clean trees and flowers, very hight place you can see all the Golan....... Some History story about the place....... A Byzantine church was erected lower down the slope from the current site in the 4th century, and it was used until the 7th century. Remains of a cistern and a monastery are still visible. The current Roman Catholic Franciscan chapel was built in 1937-38 following plans by Italian architect Antonio Barluzzi.

Yes the landscape on the lake is beautiful, and even more than that. But I wished to visit the Church as well and I missed it. Why? Because the parking attendant was not really friendly and the parking fee was exaggerated. I had visited all the other churches in the region and I had intended to visit this Church for a long time. But what a disappointment when the attendant at the entrance demanded this hefty parking fee.
