A really nice small winery 🍷 located in moshav Eliad in the southern Golan Heights. They do tours of the winery accompanied by information & explanations, a very nice experience indeed. They offer tastings at the end of the tour. You can also purchase bottles of different varieties of the winery produce, Wine prices varies and start around 135 Nis for a bottle. Outside there is a nice garden with tables and chairs for you to enjoy a sunny day. You can easily spend there around 45 minutes upto an hour and a half. The staff is very friendly and professional, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the wine is great, we had a lovely time.

I was recently in Israel with my relatives and the six of us went to Chateau Golan because of a recommendation by a friend. When we arrived we were given a tour of the winery by the owner. He explained how the wines are made and showed us the store room where they are kept. He then brought out a variety of wines for us to taste with fresh bread, cheese and fruits. By the time we were through, I was totally drunk. We did have a great time. I would highly recommend visiting this winery. We did buy several bottles of wine which we brought back with us to the US.

Came for the second time. Told them we just wanted to try a few reds in order to buy some. On the gate it clearly stated that if you buy the wine, wine tasting is for free. We bought the most expesive wine in the house, 50 $, yet we have been charged 10 euros for tasting which included probably 150 ml (if???) of reds. Not happy, we did not find it professional, especially for repeat customers and we shan't be back again. P.S. Please do not bother to reply.

We had a terrible experience here, and we recommend others to avoid the place. We were a small party. One of us ordered the tasting (which costs 45NIS, that they give back if you buy a bottle). From the onset, the attitude towards us was of "you should be thanking us for even letting you taste our wine..." We sat in the garden and asked them to replace our glass between the tastings. We explained that the taste and aroma of one wine could interfere with that of the next one. This is a no-brainer in any winery around the world, but in Chateau Golan they refused fiercely. It did not help that we asked kindly to at least rinse the glass with water - they refused this as well. They explained that changing glasses is just not needed and that it causes too much work (!). We kindly told them that we are the only people on the premise. But it didn't convince them either. The women in charge came out to us, and after two sentences started to raise her voice. We asked her why is she raising her voice; after all, we had a reasonable request, and we talked kindly and politely. But this did not help stop the shouting. The bottom line: they make good wine, but so do many other wineries in Israel. Their attitude towards customers is outrageous; the wine is costly and does not worth the price and...
