We arrived around 8:30 am. There was a park employee near the entrance that described each hike option. We chose the botanical hike which is the longest I believe and the employee reminded us to make sure that everyone had good shoes for hiking, enough water per person (at least 1.5 liters which we really drank) and sunscreen. If the weather is hot, I definitely wouldn't start later than 8:30/9:00am. It had great views and was somewhat challenging but not too bad. We had fun and appreciated the sections that had occasional shade as well as the occasional flowers scattered throughout. Read moreInteresting enough, and take your kids with you. My first time there, not a Waow, not amazing (like so many other parks in Israel), but still definitely enriching and educating. As I wrote, not in the Top 20 in Israel but worth your time for a weekend end activity with your kids, or simply yourself if you like Nature and history (and who doesn't?). And since I was there in the middle of the week and early in the morning, I had the place for myself ... and the marmots ;-). Read moreIf you are into archaeology this is a cool place to see. There are a few caves where they show you the different eras of man that lived in them. My 3 year old loved the caves and the short video they show there that depicts how man lived there. Other than that you can hike around on 3 trails that are very nice. Overall nice place for children and archaeology buffs. Please note that if you are not going hiking and only going to see the caves, that it is quite a short visit, since there are only 3...
