Sharon Beach Nature Reserve — Attraction in Hof HaSharon Regional Council

Wonderful trail between Herzliya and Natanya, close to Ga'as Kibuts, with beautiful cliffs and marked way. Sharon Beach Nature Reserve makes a part of the Israel National Trail, connecting the country from the very North to the very South. One can enjoy the panoramic view over the sea and the cliffs. In spring this trail is full of flowers. I visited in August and was told that it would be nothing to see there since there are no flowers now. But it is not true. There over view to the beach is fantastic from the high. In windy days there are paragliders flying above you (or you might be one of them). On the way there are many places where you can organise yourself a small pick-nick with first line sea view and continue your way. Closer to Ga'as there is the way down to the beach, so if you plan you trip in the evening, you can enjoy the sunset on the cliff and come down to swimm in the sea at night under millions of stars...

Wonderful hike, mostly very easy. There was one downhill tread and one uphill drag, otherwise no effort. Great views of the sea in greens, turquoise and blue I haven't seen before in Israel, beautiful cliff going along the beach, on top of which you walk. טיילנו ביום שישי, אחרי שני ימי גשם עם כמות משקעים גבוהה. תענוג לטייל בשמורה. ממש מתאים לטיול אחרי גשם (אין בוץ!). התחלנו את המסלול, מנקודה צמודה ל"צוקי ארסוף". חונים את הרכב במגרש עפר יוצאים לדרך דרומה. אפשר גם צפונה (נראה מסלול פחות מטויל. ראו בהמשך). המסלול דרומה עובר לאורך המצוק. הנוף פראי ומהמם ביופיו. יש מספר נקודות תצפית יפות על רצועת חוף הים. מזג האויר אחרי ימי הגשם - אידאלי לטיול. ראות נפלאה. המסלול קליל. קלאסי למשפחות. אנשים גם עוצרים לפיקניק רומנטי בפינות חביבות לאורך המסלול. לאחר שסיימנו את המסלול הדרומי, בדקנו גם את המסלול הצפוני. נוף יותר פראי, ברובו, לא מעל רצועת החוף. גם בו יש נקודת תצפית על הים. ממליץ מאוד על...
