Great place to camp for night, we stopped there as part of the “sea to sea” hike, restrooms, picnic areas, campfires are allowed in marked spots. You can witness some wildlife around and in the park, both on daytime and at night. Great place to watch the stars, and great observation point to the Monfort fortress across the valley. Парк Горен расположен в самом сердце лесов Западной Галилеи, над ущельем Нахал Казив. ЕНФ основал его в 1963 году как первый и самый большой парк в Израиле, представляющий собой естественный дубовый лес. В роще парка также растут лавры, фисташковое дерево и стиракс (лечебная берёза).

В самом парке есть пешеходные тропы для всей семьи и его зеленые и живописные пейзажи с множеством возможностей для развлечений сделали парк Горен одним из самых важных мест для пеших прогулок в Израиле. Также парк обустроен для любителей стоянок под открытым небом, в палатках. В южной оконечности парка есть автостоянка с видом на ручей Казив и смотровая площадка с видом на замок Монфор.

Замок Монфор был построен рыцарями Тевтонского ордена в 13 веке. В 1962 году под руководством Нью-Йоркского музея Метрополитен на территории замка Монфор были проведены раскопки. Рыцарский шлем, оружие, части доспехов, керамика - все это было обнаружено на территории замка Монфор. Также были найдены монеты римской эпохи, что означает, что укрепление существовало со времен Римской империи. Сейчас замок стал открытым для всех желающих посмотреть на уцелевшую сторожевую башню, жилые комнаты, каменные давильные прессы, кухни, мастерские, зал заседаний, остатки крепостной стены, развалины церкви и многое другое.
