Argamon Ulla is a beautiful nature reserve and bird-watching center in the Hula Valley, Northern Israel. It’s a unique place to enjoy wetlands, migratory birds, and wildlife, while also learning about the area’s ecological importance.
The visitor center is very well done, with short movies, animations, and interactive screens that explain the history of the Hula Valley and the incredible bird migration routes. It’s engaging for adults and kids alike.
A highlight is the tractor-drawn safari ride (about one hour) that brings you right into the heart of the reserve, close to the birds and animals without disturbing them. Depending on the season and time of day, you can see impressive flocks of cranes, pelicans, storks, herons, along with water buffalo, wild boar, jackals, turtles, and more.
The only reason I rated 4 stars instead of 5 is that the experience really depends on timing, sometimes you’ll see thousands of birds, other times much less. Still, the setting is peaceful, educational, and worth visiting more than once.
A great destination for families, photographers, and...
Read moreLast weekend we visited this place. It is better to buy tickets earlier. It was crowded when we visited. We got our tickets from the self service counter or machine. It is 30 nis for students and 35 nis for a adult. It has toilet facility and drinking water. As soon as you enter there Will be an information center where you can get a small map of the place and she will explain about the park. You can hire a golf car or bicycle ( 50 nis) or you can take a tour in a open bus or you can just walk . A beautiful place filled with the sound of birds. Frequently you can see the swarm of birds. There is a small botanical/ aquatic park. Though you can't see the birds as close as we see in a zoo. But we can enjoy their sound and how they fly around . It is beautiful to watch. On foot the entire place is around 9 km. And they have VR facility, which was...
Read moreI'm ambiguous about this place: On one hand we had a good time, walking among natures scenery. Observing the different flocks flying by. The exhibition were o.k., a bit over prejudice on earth tragic future. The photography movie is much better then the "Futuristic time zone" movie. Activities on Hanukkah were awesome. All together a great day, but I'm not sure it should cost 250 NIS for one family to enter. That's without any extras: Go carts, activities and snacks for the kids. We ended spending another 100 NIS, food not included. At least we would get a recorded audio guide with the high entrance fee. One more thing: The handed out map of the resort is the low quality and under detailed, non...
