We booked a tour and cheesemaking experience for our extended family (10 adults and 9 children from 3 - 12 years old) followed by a cheese and wine light meal. Despite the fact that it was Saturday in Hanukah and very busy, Shira made sure that we got VIP treatment from start to finish. Omer Kurlender, grandson of the original settlers, was an amazing guide. He knew how to involve all the children and bring the whole experience to life for all of us. Then he prepared the curd cheese for each of us to make our own individual flavoured cheese with multiple spices and herbs. And nobody went hungry with the platters of cheeses, crackers, dips, olives and wine from the shop.

Another incredible and memorable visit to Kurlender Farm (our second visit). We enjoyed touring the farm and interacting with the sweet calves. After bottle feeding the weened calves, we entered the shop and enjoyed fresh milk ice cream, a cheese tasting and sampling various other items. The staff was warm and inviting, encouraging us to enjoy the property and all it has to offer. This is definitely a place to stop when in the area. Take as much or as little time as you have, you will not be sorry!

Fun Family Experience! Come for a very nice tour of the cowshed, see and even experience milking a cow, pet the sweet calfs and feed them. Cheese and other dairy products can be bought in a cute little cafe. We were a family of 5, children aged, 9, 10 and 12, but also toddlers enjoyed the experience immensely. The cowshed is open during the Holidays, but check ahead for opening hours on Friday and Saturday.

Kurlender farm was such a wonderful find during our stay in Israel! Everyone working there was so nice and accommodating to us. They had someone take us on a private tour in English and she was wonderful, taking her time to explain the day to day life on the farm. All of the cows were beautiful and we got to feed them and the baby calves. We got to sample all of the cheese they make, and all of the olive oils too! Everything was so fresh and delicious, especially their cappuccinos made with the milk they produce on the farm! Last but not least, they let us walk down near their clementine trees and pick a few to eat. Their clementines were so juicy, never experienced delicious clementines like that back in New York! We then finished up the wonderful day but sitting by the river that’s about 5 minutes past their farm. Overall everyone working there was so kind and I highly recommend taking a tour, you won’t be...
