A really huge park and the best place in Ramat Gan!
This park has a large grass area to picnic on or play, No BBQ allowed except for specific holidays. It is surrounding an artificial lake scattered with trees and banchs to relax on. There is a ship-like building in the lake that stands empty for many years, they really should open a restaurant there.. There is a waterfall that works in the afternoon and evening that has lights on it to color the water.
There are many kinds of birds that are hanging around including ducks and even black swanes. If you come in the evening when all the birds come to find a place for the night it looks like a movie scene.
There is a large area with trees with some interactive stations based on Noami Shemer songs which is nice for the kids.
In the park you can also find: A large workout area with tons of machines A huge playground for the kids Football/basketball pitch (that needs renovation) Cool beach like volleyball courts A public book stand A mini beach with sand and chairs An amphitheater with a huge screen
There is a single coffee place with long lines. They are talking about rebuilding the area with the other coffee shop to hold some more food soon.
There are several restrooms that are relatively clean.
For parking you can find 4 big parking lots around it but on nice weekends you will need to drive around to find parking in the...
Read moreRamat Gan National Park is a truly lovely place to spend quality time with the whole family. The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxing, making it an ideal spot for a leisurely outing.
What's particularly impressive is the recent "facelift" the park has undergone in recent years. These improvements have added some fantastic new areas that cater to different interests. We especially enjoyed: The beach volleyball courts, which looked like a lot of fun. The peaceful reading nook, a perfect spot to unwind with a book. The well-equipped public fitness area, great for getting some exercise outdoors. The charming Naomi Shemer grove trail, a lovely walk through nature. The woodland path with its interesting explanations (currently only in Hebrew, but easily translatable with Google).
Adding to the park's appeal, especially during the warmer months, is the fantastic water fountain complex. This area is a huge hit with children, providing a fun and refreshing place to run around and cool off on hot days. It also offers a captivating sound and light show that takes place at night, creating a magical experience for visitors of all ages.
Overall, Ramat Gan National Park offers a delightful experience for everyone. The recent additions have only enhanced its appeal, making it a must-visit destination in the area. Highly...
Read moreNot too bad for a country where most public gardens and parks are littered with trash and where you are lucky enough to come across one relatively clean public WC...In my experience most public restrooms are poorly maintained to say the least of it (that is-plain disgusting)...This Park is an exception in this and other regards-it has new toilet facilities, a spacious playground for kids, an outdoor workout station, vast green lawns and even a lake with waterfowl. Wish most parks were following the suit and hope it happens sooner or later. The cafeteria at the main gate is pricey like most of them at such locations, but at least you can enjoy a cup of coffee away from the scorching sun...Suggest visiting on Thursday nights or early on Fri.or Sat.if you are gonna be driving there (most likely) , as finding parking space can be challenging. Great for families with kids and basically anyone seeking to relax in the middle...
