Valle dell'Acate — Attraction in Acate

We had a rather mixed experience. On one hand, the place is beautiful — surrounded by palm trees and historic winery buildings. However, we didn’t receive any directions on how to get there, and once on-site, there were no clear instructions on where to park or where to meet. The tour guide also struggled quite a bit with her English, which made it difficult to understand the details about the winery’s history. The tour was supposed to include a walk around the grapevines, but it ended right after the tasting.

We had an absolutely wonderful, personal tour and tasting at Valle dell'Acate in October 2016. I believe it was Gionatan who received us and welcomed us so kindly and helpfully. After a lovely tour of the grounds, we were treated to a fantastic tasting of a variety of special wines. Our favorites were the Cerasuolo di Vittoria and the Il Frappato.
