Torre del Port del Comte — Attraction in Alghero

We really enjoyed this place. The area is super nice, you can walk around the tower, on the rocks, it's very beautiful and quiet. Inside the tower there is a museum dedicated to the author of 'The little prince', the entrance costs 5€, and for us it was worth seeing it. We spent can 30 mins here in the Museum which has an interesting deep dive on the last 3 months of the life of Antoine de Saint Exupery! The Museum you can easily tour in 30 mins, but feel free to ask the staff questions, they will help you! Don't stop at the mezzanine floor, climb all the way to the top of the tower to enjoy the view on the gulf!

Partis d'ALGHERO en raison d'une brève averse , nous sommes avons pris la route du Cap Caccia avec un crochet par Porto Conté qui en plus du magnifique panorama , la tour abrite le siège du Musée Antoine de St Exupéry! Mais pourquoi ici à ALGHERO? Tout simplement parce que St Exupéry a atterri à l'aéroport de Fertilia le 10 mai 1944 en provenance de Tunisie . Il venait de suivre une remise à niveau pour piloter depuis début 1943 après avoir vécu 28 mois à New-York de juillet 1940 à novembre 1942 . C'est durant cette période qu'il rédigea et dessina le Petit Prince à la demande de l'épouse française de son éditeur . A la mi juillet 1944, Antoine de St Exupéry rejoignait l'aéroport de Poretto à Bastia .
