My family and I visited the Altamura Man Museum on June 27, 2025, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable highlights of our entire trip to Italy. We were the only visitors at the time, which made the experience feel personal and intimate.

The man working at the museum that day was absolutely fantastic. His genuine enthusiasm for the subject was infectious — you could see how much he loved sharing the story of the Altamura Man. He walked us through the exhibits with excitement, and he even showed us a fascinating 3D film about the discovery. His energy and knowledge transformed what could have been a quiet museum visit into something truly engaging and special.

Al contrario della grotta dell'uomo di Altamura, che non si può visitare, la grotta della capra é aperta al pubblico h24. Purtroppo questo é un grosso limite, in quanto si tratta di un sito che dovrebbe essere invece protetto e preservato, in quanto molto 'fragile', con le sue stalattiti e stalagmiti e con una storia che va ben oltre quello che si vede nel sito. Noi ci siamo andati con Francesco in una visita combinata con quella alla al Centro Visite di Lamalunga, da cui dista meno di un km. Un plauso agli speleologi, che lavorano con passione e dedizione in un progetto mai statico e che speriamo diventi sempre più ampio collegato, in una rete sempre più stretta con gli altri siti storici del territorio. Speriamo non resti ancora a lungo alla mercé di chiunque. Imperdibile in una visita congiunta dei siti collegati all'uomo...
