The experience of Cominium is more than just incredible wines. A visit to Cominium invites you to discover the rich history of this land of Alvito in Lazio. The tour was hosted by sommelier and estate owner Maria. Her expertise was perfectly communicated (tours in English are offered). We begin by seeing beautiful vistas of the 24 hectare estate, followed by an invitation into the cellar to see the production. The vineyard offers production of DOC wine, organic grapes, organic wine and kosher wine and is located within a protected park and historical zone. Next we visited a small museo where Maria shared more history of the position of the vineyard as it pertains to WWII along with artifacts discovered on the land of the vineyard from this time. Also artifacts from the Roman Empire were discovered. The tour is informative, fascinating and fun. The most worthwhile tour of wine I have ever received. The tour concluded with a beautiful tasting of the DOC wines and a beautiful table and food. A cherished memory we will...

A fun yet educational day finished off with a mouth watering two-course home cooked meal using local produce. And to add, price wise, extremely good value for money. Cannot...
