Spiaggia della Grotta Verde — Attraction in Andrano

A spot that is definitely worth spending a few hours at. Stopped off here on the last Thursday of August. Nowhere near as crowded as we expected based on other reviews. The cave is easily accessible from the rocky beach: just a couple of literally 5 second swims to reach the inner cave which was amazingly lit from the outside sunlight. There is a a kiosk and great patisserie/gelateria nearby. Agree though that more regular cleaning of the rocks area to remove the many discarded cigarettes would be...

Mattina presto! Si lo so.. Na bella rottura soprattutto in vacanza, ma dedicatevi una mattina fatta di acqua fredda.. Un sentiero buio (magari con l' acqua mossa!). Qualche passo in mezzo all' acqua e poi la luce.. VERDE!!! Quando arriverete al parcheggio (se volete parcheggiare gratuitamente dovrete arrivare prestino) seguite le indicazioni, in realta' non c'e' nessuna spiaggia in prossimita' della grotta, solo scogli. Comunque sappiate che potrete entrare per il percorso piu' semplice (e consigliato) che per qualche metro sara' totalmente buio, l' alternativa e' il passare dal mare immergendosi, ma in caso di mare mossettino sconsiglio vivamente in quanto potrebbe essere pericoloso. Usate una maschera per guardare sotto di voi una volta nell' antro della grotta, una sensazione meravigliosa. I colori dell' acqua cambieranno in conseguenza della posizione del sole, quindi se volete vedere il verde dovrete andare di mattina! Mi associo a chi si e' complimentato con l' amministrazione locale per la gestione del territorio, le indicazioni e le attrezzature a disposizione di chi volesse farsi un pic nic.
