Lovely beach in a natural reserve. The water is clear and super clean, in some bits you have sand and in other stones, so I would suggest going early so that you can choose the best spot for you. There is also a little walk you can do on the cliff that bring you to a more hidden bit of coast. Some brave people were doing amazing jumps from there straight in the sea. The parking is €20 or if you prefer you can leave the car a but further away and walk to the beach. There is also a bar and some free showers you can use. What I didn’t like was seeing people throwing their garbage on the floor and in the street even tho this is a protected area.

Spiaggia Gelsomineto - istruzioni per l'uso Premesse - mare cristallino, trasparente, pulito (25/07/23) - spiaggia fina di sabbia, ma sono anche presenti numerosi sassi grossi, tronchi e alberi di macchia mediterranea - la spiaggia è profonda una quindicina di metri e larga quasi 1 kilometro - all'estremo destro della spiaggia c'è una altura e degli scogli molto belli, mentre all'estermo sinistro altri scogli con una vedetta militare degli anni 40' - durante la settimana (anche a luglio) la spiaggia inizia ad affollarsi verso le 10, e prima delle 9 non trovate nessuno - il parcheggio è a pagamento con tariffe variabili a discrezione dei custodi (a piacimento potrebbe costare 15 oppure 20, e si dice che le centrali di agosto pure di più) - il parcheggio è "comodo" perché è fronte spiaggia... Poi in lontananza nel parcheggio ci sono bagni e docce (volutamente non vicine alla spiaggia) - l'ingresso al mare per i primi 10 metri è ricoperto di sassi lisci (non sabbia) ed è consigliabile avere le scarpette ma se non le avete riuscite ad entrare lo stesso - non è presente un lido, non ci sono servizi bar, ma ci sono delle persone che vedono teli mare e piccoli ombrelloni - prima della strada di ingresso al parcheggio a pagamento (sulla sinistra provenendo da Avola) c'è la possibilità di parcheggiare in una strada liberamente gratis (attenzione a parcheggiatori abusivi) ma poi avrete da camminare circa 10 minuti per arrivare alla spiaggia. Opinione La spiaggia vale sicuramente la visita e pur di parcheggiare vicino alla spiaggia, 20 euro li spendo volentieri. In più avendo l'auto vicino, potete portare tutto ciò che volete (ombrelloni, frigo, bevande, tavoli, sdraio, sedie....) Senza dovervi caricare tutto questo a mano. In questo giorno di luglio il caldo è impressionante e stare tutto il giorno in spiaggia è dura.

Fab place to escape the massis (tip, go down to the end of the beach and keep going, towards the river, there you can relax on the sand with less people around! The only con is that to go into the water there are some rocks, but definitely worth the extra space!) Parking is easy and although 15 euro weekdays and 20 euro weekends might sound steep, it really isn't when you realise you can stay the entire day at such an amazing place! And the car park feels safe so that is a great bonus! (if you have a low car, be careful getting down off the main road however)

Wonderful and pretty natural beach, which is very popular with the locals. Definitely check out the cliffs to the south of the main sandy beach, which offer stunning views above the bluest sea and crumbling cliffs. At the north end of the beach, you can usually find a place on the small rocks, even in the busiest days. There is a bathroom with showers for those that pay for a wristband at the entrance. Expect to pay 15-20€ for 2 people for parking and a wristband during a weekend.

Il posto è incantevole, facilmente raggiungibile con il navigatore. Non conviene posteggiare fuori perché le auto sono incustodite. L'ingresso è gratuito ma in alta stagione il costo del parcheggio interno è 20,00/auto. Sono presenti alcune zone d'ombra quindi , arrivando presto, è possibile posteggiare al fresco. I ritardatari troveranno comunque spazio ma al sole. Consiglio di partire attrezzati con acqua fresca e pranzo perché all'interno dell'oasi di Gelsomineto si trova solo un chiosco e i prezzi sono molto "turistici". Suggerisco inoltre scarpette in plastica ben aderenti per i bambini perché la spiaggia si alterna tra sabbia, ciottoli e roccia bianca tipica di Siracusa. Obbligatorio l'ombrellone e la protezione solare per evitare scottature. Guardando la spiaggia, a lato destro c'è la scogliera con un piccolo sentiero, porta in cima ed è possibile tuffarsi ma fatelo solo se avete esperienza perché con la bassa marea rischiereste di prendere uno scoglio. La vegetazione è selvaggia e affascinante. Sul lato sinistro si può ammirate la foce del torrente e immergere i piedi nell'acqua ghiacciata. Alla fine del parcheggio si trovano i bagni e le docce. Il posto merita sicuramente una visita, come tutta la costa orientale della Sicilia. Quattro stelle e non cinque perché trovo che il costo del posteggio sia elevato.

This place has a beatiful beach with lots of tree near the sea. There is a river nearby and the ruins of a bunker from ww2. In my opinion, it is not a quiet place, it is overcrowded with people camping and doing bbq (although it is not allowed). There is a small bar, toilettes, and showers. The view from the beach is great, but there are better places in this part of Sicily in which you may spent a more quiet day, enjoying a better sea.
