Inizio Sentiero del Dint (CAI 997) — Attraction in Barcis

Great walk for the family! We went with a 5 year old, who walked the whole way happily and a 2 year old in a back carrier. I thought it was well signposted, there are a couple of times when you may think you are not sure which way to go, but it is pretty obvious, just keep to the wider paths (sometimes there are little trails veering off, but you can see they are not the right ones to follow) It took us an hour and a half to complete the entire walk, it is definitely worth walking to the 3rd viewpoint, it is the best one. To start the walk, you park near the restaurant by Ponte Antoi, we asked permission to park at the actual restaurant and then had coffees after. Ci sono percorsi che, per quanto belli, una volta iniziati continuano a snodarsi senza riservare grandi sorprese. Non è il caso del Sentiero del Dint. Qui sembra che un eccelso architetto del paesaggio lo abbia immaginato e realizzato come una sorta di parco avventuroso, adatto tanto alle famiglie quanto ai solitari ed entusiasti ammiratori delle meraviglie della natura. Qui si può esplorare, curiosare, farsi venire le vertigini e, a volte, ruzzolare nel fango senza problemi, purché ci si attenga strettamente ai percorsi segnati. A questo proposito, le segnalazioni sono addirittura ridondanti nei pressi dei tre belvedere, autentiche postazioni panoramiche fortificate e spettacolarizzate da installazioni che consentono di sporgersi o elevarsi ulteriormente, ma sarebbero da rivedere e migliorare in altri tratti, soprattutto dove il sentiero è meno visibilmente battuto e dove si diramano altri sentieri. Se il Belvedere 2 non vi sembrasse emozionante come il Belvedere 1, il ponte sospeso troncato diretto idealmente verso il Piancavallo, vi consiglio di proseguire ostinatamente fino a raggiungere il Belvedere 3, dal quale si riescono a vedere addirittura Andreis in direzione NE, un bellissimo scorcio della Val Cellina in direzione SE che sembra perdersi all'infinito verso la pianura e perfino il Lago di Barcis in direzione O, che torna visibile in distanza grazie alla maggior elevazione del Belvedere 3 rispetto agli altri. Il Sentiero del Dint non è un luogo dove andare, è un luogo dove tornare, tornare, tornare e portare persone diverse in stagioni diverse per trovarvi...

I loved this mountain walk. It is quite well signed so the route is easy to follow and there are few viewpoints with spectacular views. At the end of the route, it is possible to return to the departure point by entering the old road & Tibetan bridge route (for which you need to pay a ticket of 3€ + 3€ if you want to do the bridge) or to go back through the current road. Would recommend it to everyone in the area!
