Cà du Ferrà Wine & Tasting — Attraction in Bonassola

Visiting Cà du Ferrà winery was an unforgettable experience. Meeting the owners, Davide and Giuseppe, at the start made the visit feel special. Then our kind guide and sommelier, Jelena, gave us a private tour through the vineyards with stunning sea views. Along the way, she shared the story of the winery and the region, the grape varieties they grow, and their approach to winemaking, built on sustainable and nature-respecting values that really resonated with us.

We chose the premium tasting with four excellent wines: a rosé, two whites, and a red. Each was paired with delicious local bites. The tasting took place on a terrace next to the wine cellar in charming, peaceful countryside. Before leaving, we bought some bottles to take home. Choosing was hard with limited suitcase space, but luckily we had come prepared with larger bags. :)

Getting there and back was easy thanks to the transport Giuseppe provided from Bonassola station. The distance isn’t far, but it would have been difficult to reach on foot.

A heartfelt thank you to the whole team for the highlight of our trip to Italy. We hope to find your wines in Finland one day!

Shared a lovely picnic experience with my husband. Giuseppe was a perfect host and provided a most wonderful experience. The views were breathtakingly beautiful and as the hours slipped by so did all the stress and worries of everyday life. The picnic food was delicious and featured a variety of homemade sandwiches, tarts, breads and a wonderful soup made with organic vegetables and ingredients. What a special experience! Originally, we only wanted to do the wine tasting, but I'm so pleased we did the tour as well - I cannot recommend it enough! It was lovely hearing about the care taken with the environment, and the work being done to revive ancient grape varieties. We enjoyed every moment, and the wines were just incredible and have been our favourite during our trip to Italy. Thank you Davide and Giuseppe, I hope we can visit...
