While visiting Lago di Garda, my husband and I wanted to experience visiting a local winery. Lorenzo was an incredible host and you could feel his passion and love for his craft.
He educated us on the history of the region and the winery, native grapes, the local environment, and also shared his aspirations for the future. Lorenzo has a deep appreciation for the environment and leaving his winery, community, and the land better for future generations, which was really refreshing to hear.
We had a lovely tasting after the tour where he shared the stories behind each wine - truly a special experience. Lorenzo also presented us with locally-sourced meats and cheeses, which went really well with all of the wine.

Es gibt solche Angebote in verschiedenen Ländern, so beispielsweise auch in Deutschland, Spanien und Frankreich. Nach Bezahlung einer Mitgliedschaftsgebühr, im Falle von GreenStop24 sind es 30€, erhält man Zugang zu Adressen von landwirtschaftlichen Betrieben, Bauernhöfen und Weingütern, deren Besitzer einen netterweise – eventuell nur in der Nebensaison – für 24h auf ihrem Grundstück kostenlos parken lassen, in den meisten Fällen ohne jegliche Versorgung. Man steht also autark aber dafür sicher. Nicht selten ist man außerdem in einer sehr schönen Umgebung und hat natürlich die Möglichkeit ein bisschen Agrotourismus zu betreiben und eventuell angebotene Waren des Betreibers zu erwerben. Oft erhält man so gleichzeitig Zugang zu leckerem Wein, zu Milch, Käse, Fleischwaren und mehr. In unseren Augen einfach großartig. Man ruft übrigens am besten vor der Ankunft an und fragt, ob überhaupt ein Platz frei ist. Häufig gibt es nicht mehr als 4-5 Stellplätze, eventuell gar weniger.
Der Stellplatz
Der Besitzer der Azienda Agricola La Torre empfing uns sehr freundlich und führte uns auf den gepflasterten Eventparkplatz des Unternehmens. Die offizelle Adresse ist übrigens zwar Via Torre 1, man muss aber schon von der Via Maestà zwischen den beiden wunderschönen Zypressen in den Privatweg einbiegen, um kurz vor dem Hoftor dann nach rechts, in Richtung der Weinreben abzubiegen und auf dem Eventparkplatz zu landen. Der Parkplatz ist auf dem Weg auch ausgeschildert. Vorsicht, es ist eng und sehr große Wohnmobile könnten es etwas schwer haben. Da der Parkplatz etwas abschüssig ist, sind Auffahrkeile zu empfehlen. In der Nacht hörten wir nicht ein einziges Geräusch und konnten schlafen wie die Murmeltiere. Am nächsten Morgen machten wir uns abfahrbereit, bedankten uns herzlich beim Besitzer – so sollte man das bei diesen Angeboten definitiv tun – und fuhren weiter.
