Beautiful vineyard and agriturismo. We stayed here for two nights in our van and it’s hard to believe it’s free currently.
Owners Francesca and Luca are so welcoming, friendly and helpful and have put a lot of thought into facilities - there are lots of places to sit and relax/eat, wifi, the bathroom is beautiful and shady spots to park. Work ongoing to create more camping spots, a kitchen and another bathroom. For this reason (and is working vineyard) lots of activity from around 7:30am to 5pm but very peaceful otherwise. Dog-friendly, they were happy to let ours roam freely. They have chickens and a lovely donkey.
We didn’t do a tasting, but bought a delicious bottle of wine. Small shop just around the corner and excellent pizzeria within 5mins walk.
A wonderful place, thank you Francesca and Luca for your amazing hospitality. We hope to return and will be excited to see the result of all...
Read moreWhen we arrived we were immediately greeted by the proprietor, Luca. With a broad smile he told us we were the first Americans to ever visit with a camper van. Not bad for a town that’s well over 1,000 years old. We parked our camper and joined a Swiss couple for a wine tasting. We were served the most delicious meat, cheese, jam, and other baked samplings along with some amazing wines, bread and olive oils from the hills we were surrounded by. Luca explained each one and we all chatted and enjoyed the food, wine, oils, and company. Afterwards Luca brought my wife and I in his car up to the vineyard on the hillside. We encountered a herd of sheep along the way. The view was amazing and it was fascinating to listen about all of the hard work and challenges of grape and olive harvesting. Luca is an artist at heart and the winery reflects that at every turn. Highly recommend checking...
Read moreFantastic..! This place left us a beautiful experience. We are traveling with a camper van for 2 weeks. The road has a beautiful green from the olive trees and grapes. It was narrow street when arrived at the pin point which was a church and we were amazed of how big the place once we got inside the Donna Clara itself . Big and lush garden with fruits and vegetables.
We had a wonderful wine and olive tasting with Luca. He explained very well and we enjoy so much his hospitality.
Other than range of wines and olive oils he also has other products such as very yummy jams made of the fruits from the garden.
Highly...
