Animal Park Cappeller — Attraction in Cartigliano

I've been left with a bitter taste in my mouth after visiting this park because I haven't been convinced that the animals kept here are being given enough living space and care. Some animals don't have a companion to share their life with. Many, if not all, species of bird don't have enough space to fly. Other cages, instead, are crowded to such an extent that the animals could be overheard ferociously fighting with one another several times in a couple hours. Bees and wasps plague the place. They feast over the food that should be destined to the animals kept in the cage, and are a danger for animals and visitors alike. A young child was stung in front of me during my visit. A large majority of the animals purposely take shelter in the most remote corner of their small cages, showing clear signs of being stressed by the human visitors being allowed to approach their "homes" at such close distance. All in all, it feels like there are way too many animal species for this small place. This, together with the long opening hours, the small cages and other small details, leave the distinctive impression that the entire focus of this park is on pleasing the visitors instead of the animal guests. Even after looking at the website, it's mostly unclear what is being done to concretely support reintroduction of animals to their native environment. This is particularly concerning for those species advertised as being endangered by human activity. It would be helpful to clearly explain how this animal park fits the bigger picture of animal conservation and also justify at an individual level the presence of each and every animal in this park: why they are here? where do they come from? Are there plans to reintroduce them in nature? If no, why? What are the plans for improving their quality of life? Being honest about current limitations would also help showing visitors that the well-being of the animals is kept in high regard even when practical reasons might require some temporary compromise for a...

Visitare il Parco Faunistico Cappeller è stata un’esperienza che porterò nel cuore per molto tempo. Fin dal primo momento in cui sono arrivato, ho percepito un’atmosfera accogliente e familiare, un luogo dove la natura e il rispetto per gli animali si fondono in modo armonioso. Il parco è curato nei minimi dettagli, pulito, ordinato e pensato per offrire un’esperienza piacevole a grandi e piccini. Mi ha colpito subito la gentilezza del personale, sempre disponibile, sorridente e pronto a fornire informazioni o indicazioni con grande cortesia. Si vede che amano il loro lavoro e che ci mettono passione, e questo fa davvero la differenza. Gli animali sono tenuti benissimo, in ambienti spaziosi e puliti, e si percepisce chiaramente l’attenzione che viene dedicata al loro benessere. È stato emozionante poter osservare da vicino tante specie diverse, alcune delle quali non avevo mai visto prima. Ogni area del parco è pensata per offrire una visuale chiara e coinvolgente. Ho apprezzato tantissimo anche le zone pic-nic, comode, ombreggiate e ben distribuite lungo il percorso, che permettono di fare una pausa rilassante immersi nel verde. È evidente che il parco è pensato per le famiglie, con aree gioco per i bambini e percorsi facilmente accessibili anche con passeggini. Tutto è studiato per rendere la visita piacevole e senza stress. Anche i servizi igienici erano puliti e ben tenuti, cosa che purtroppo non è sempre scontata in luoghi pubblici. Un altro aspetto che mi ha colpito è stato il prezzo del biglietto, assolutamente onesto e accessibile, soprattutto considerando la qualità dell’esperienza offerta. Non ci sono costi nascosti, e si può acquistare il biglietto direttamente all’ingresso, senza complicazioni. Ho trovato molto utile anche la presenza di igienizzanti in diverse zone del parco, un segno di attenzione e cura verso i visitatori. Durante la mia visita ho avuto modo di scambiare qualche parola con altri ospiti, e tutti condividevano lo stesso entusiasmo: il Parco Faunistico Cappeller è un luogo che lascia il segno, che ti fa sentire bene e che ti regala una giornata diversa, lontana dal caos e immersa nella bellezza della natura. È raro trovare un posto che riesca a coniugare così bene divertimento, educazione e rispetto per l’ambiente. Consiglio vivamente a chiunque di visitarlo, che siate in coppia, in famiglia o anche da soli: ne vale davvero la pena. Personalmente, non vedo l’ora di tornarci, magari in una stagione diversa per scoprire nuove sfumature e vivere ancora una volta quella sensazione di serenità e meraviglia che solo Cappeller è riuscito a regalarmi. È molto più di un semplice parco zoologico: è un luogo dove si respira passione, dove si impara divertendosi e dove ogni dettaglio è pensato per far sentire il visitatore parte di qualcosa di speciale. Such a beautiful zoo, beautiful animals, some of which we saw for the first time, although I often visit different animal parks. They have a lot of pelicans, so only the part where there are a lot of them has a slightly unpleasant smell, but that is normal for the places where they live. The museum is impressive! We were delighted both young and old with a wonderful exhibition of insects, something that really fascinated us. It's a shame that the entrance to the museum is not included, but the entrance to the park, because we saw that many people gave up just to avoid buying another ticket, and it's worth every cent.
