An absolutely beautiful walk, and rather essential if you're visiting Castelfranco. 1/4 of the walk is downhill. 1/2 is flat. And the last 1/4 is uphill. There is some truly wonderful scenery and old abandoned structures on the way. My partner and I loved it, but we returned home with about 20 mosquito bites each. Our fault for wearing shorts! Haha

Eravamo alla ricerca di un trekking semplice ed abbiamo optato per questo. Lasciata la macchina a Castelfranco abbiamo seguito le indicazioni ben chiare. Il sentiero permette una bella vista sulle famose Balze, noi ci siamo allungati fino al paese di Piantravigne, unico punto dove abbiamo trovato una fonte d’acqua. Il giro ad anello è venuto poco più di 8km. Peccato tuttavia per l’enorme quantità di mosche che hanno reso gran parte del percorso fastidioso.

Sentiero ad anello che parte e ritorna a Castelfranco di Sopra. Lunghezza 6 km percorso n.51. Nei pressi del borgo di Castelfranco si sviluppa nel bosco ed è un po’ ripido, la parte invece più panoramica è quella nella piana in cui si percorre la strada bianca che viene dalla località Botriolo. Punto bellissimo ricco di visuali incantevoli sia per la presenza delle balze sia per la cura con cui sono tenuti i campi e i vigneti 💚🍇🌾🏞

Nette Wanderung mit tollem Blick auf Le Balze. Wir starteten an der Post in Castelfranco di sopra und gingen die Straße hinter, dort ist nach etwa 100 Meter ein Hinweisschild. Dort beginnt der Pfad Nr.51. Abwärts gehts durch Wald, was zuerst wenig spektakulär ist. Unten, aus dem Wald gekommen, hat man dann tolle Ausblicke auf le balze. Weiter auf dem Weg kann man rechts einen Abstecher hoch in einen kleinen Ort machen. Der führt einen schmalen, teils dornigen, steilen Pfad hoch. Für das eine hübsche Foto von dort oben, war die Anstrengung für uns grenzwertig. Der Weg zurück nach Castelfranco ist anstrengend, geht wieder durch Wald hoch.
