Masseria Li Veli — Attraction in Cellino San Marco

Had waited 9 years for the opportunity to visit Li Veli and was not disappointed. Went for the tour and tasting with food and must say that everything - food, wine, hospitality, attention to detail, and setting - was just amazing and incredible value for money. Best excursion, best winery experience, whilst being so modest and understated about what they produce. A true find, what they have done for the region and the local varietals is staggering. Would highly recommend and will definitely be looking to return at some point...

Nous étions à Castellana grotte et avons fait le déplacement 1 heure de route pour aller goûter quelques vins à la Masseria…Accueil plutôt froid par une jeune femme plutôt hautaine ……nous lui demandons pour une dégustation elle nous répond froidement que ce n’est pas possible et que l’on peut aller voir au fond …nous allons voir et discutons avec un américain qui se trouve devant une table avec 4 bouteilles de vin entamées donc pour une éventuelle dégustation ……nous retournons voir la personne hautaine de l’accueil et lui disons qu’il y a au fond sur une table 4 bouteilles entamées et demandons moyennant paiement de pouvoir goûter ces vins …reponse non pas possible !!! Je lui parle d’un autre vins goûté la veille dans un restaurant qui était en début du fascicule qu’elle nous a présenté et elle me répond qu’il ne l’on plus…!!! Certainement pas assez cher!! Fuyez donc cette Masseria. Juste pour votre gouverne , charmante dame qui nous avait accueilli, j’ai dans ma cave des Sassicaia, Ornellaia, Haut Brion et autres grands bourgognes Clos Vougeot, Bonnes Mares etc…Donc sachez que l’habit ne fait pas le moine chère ...
