Miserin is one of high-altitude rifugios (refuge) which serves hikers on the Alta Via 2 in the Italian Alps. It sits on a high plain on the shores of Lake Miserin overlooking snow covered mountain ranges. The small chapel, Madonna della Nevi, lies just a few steps from the rifugio and adds to the peace and tranquility of the setting.||||The rifugio is on the small side and has about 40 beds, arranged as a set of bunk beds in a few dorms. The entire building was very clean and well maintained. There are 3 showers with plenty of hot water (unmetered) and free Wi-Fi. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The food, while simple as to be expected in these locations, was tasty and filling. For a few euros, he staff will make ham & cheese sandwiches for the next day's lunch.||||Rifugio Miserin near the eastern reaches of the Gran Paradiso. Since we were hiking east to west, this was our first stop. After staying at several other rifugios during the following days, I can say in retrospect, that this was my favorite: beautiful surroundings, a friendly staff, and and all the amenities needed during a brief stop on the...

Me and my nephew we enjoyed some classic polenta & polenta concia with salsiccia there was a good selection of beer, and spirits, coffe and fresh juices. As yiu can see from the photo theres loads on the menu to make you feel at a 5 star restaurant in the sky...the owners where very friendly and helpful, theres parking for the bikes outside near the deck, a charger for ebikes we saw a guy plug one in, loads of beds upstairs for those who want to enjoy the location to the fullest. We definitely gonna do...
