Torrecchia Vecchia — Attraction in Cisterna di Latina

I have spent the last year travelling to and visiting gardens around Europe… and Torrecchia Vecchia is an absolute highlight. The most beautiful in Italy without a doubt. A 5km path from the main road leads to the ancient castle where the garden now lives nestled on a hill. It is a place of utter magic and tranquility, photos cannot begin to capture it. The caretakers and guides, Esdeiny and Mario, are exceptionally kind, generous and knowledgeable people. They made our experience truly memorable. Thank you for showing us around. The garden and the ruins themselves live harmoniously: wild flowers poking out of the cracks, the distinction between house and garden is seamless. Straordinaria esperienza la visita di Torrecchia Vecchia, Monumento naturale situato nel Comune di Cisterna di Latina. Grazie di cuore a Mario, Eliana, per l'accoglienza ricevuta, e soprattutto ad Esdeiny che, questa mattina, ha guidato il gruppo dei Soci dell'Archeoclub di Sermoneta trasmettendogli, con passione e competenza, tutte le conoscenze utili ad apprezzare le meraviglie di un luogo così ricco di fascino, tra storia e natura. Luogo meraviglioso, affascinante e romantico. Dopo circa 1 anno di chiusura per manutenzione riapre da giugno 2025. Come Presidente dell'Archeoclub di Sermoneta, associazione che in due gruppi (21 e 22 giugno 2025) ha visitato questo luogo dell'anima, questo regno del silenzio, dove colei che parla è solo la Natura, consiglio vivamente la visita.
