Monte Lagazuoi Piccolo — Attraction in Cortina d'Ampezzo

Come non dare ad un luogo storico così ben conservato, e soprattutto in mezzo alla natura, un bel 110 e lode? Questa tappa, per tutti gli escursionisti delle Dolomiti e dell'Alta Badia, è sicuramente obbligatoria, non solo per le bellezze naturali che vi sono presenti, ma anche per omaggiare, anche con la sola presenza, i caduti della Grande Guerra. Questo luogo è estremamente ancestrale, come tutte le montagne più belle, ma anche spirituale. Chi viene sul Lagazuoi deve possedere assolutamente una certa spiritualità per entrare in simbiosi con questa Chiesa a cielo aperto. Si possono trovare, nei sentieri, anche dei residui bellici come fortini o addirittura, come mi capita spesso, raccogliere molti pezzi di frammenti d'artiglieria sparsi un po' ovunque. La sensazione di trovarsi in un luogo così fuori dal tempo è anormale, ma allo stesso tempo ti senti in pace con te stesso e con il mondo; trovi addirittura la forza di fare l'impossibile e solo alla fine capisci quanto un luogo del genere può cambiare l'anima e il corpo. Comunque, per chi vuole fare i chilometri, il Lagazuoi ed il suo rifugio sono raggiungibili dalla Capanna Alpina effettuando un percorso con un dislivello...

Beautiful, must seen place in the Dolomites! If in shape, hike from the pass through the tunnel to the peak (and also save the cable car fees - 26€ per adult and 18 per child). Otherwise, take the cable car and easily hike at the peak to impress from one of the breathtaking views...
