Fattoria Uccelliera Cantina — Attraction in Crespina Lorenzana

We spent 2 weeks in and around Fauglia exploring the region from this vineyard! This is an outstanding experience and of course set in the most beautiful idillic surroundings.

However, this place is exceptional, the vineyard has been beautifully curated over the years with fabulous buildings and spaces to enjoy jaw dropping moments. Once the sun passes over the yardarm the fine wines are flowing.

The wines are well developed, thought through and designed for competent drinking, with a superiority and quality that can only be bottled from this kind of beauty, we much enjoyed!!!

Wine testing was great, we started with the history of the 3rd generation wine yard owners. Then we could preselect what wines we love and then taste them. Tasting was prepared upfront in dedicated room with many historical bottles at the walls. You may also select how many wines you want to taste. We were left alone, and from time to time we got another wine bottle opened glass filled and described. We choose also option with many home made honey, jams, olive oil, prosciutto and cheese. The wines were ok but could have done with more explanation about the wines and the history of the place. Felt like we were rushing to get out of there. Wines seem a bit overpriced for what they are.
