As wheather was not nice we decided to do a wine tasting instead in the afternoon. It was a very nice experience. We tested Grillo, Chardonnay, Shiraz and two Nera d Avolo. We also had the chance to look around the estate, seeing grapes, almond, olive, pistachio.

Wir sind während unseres Sizilienurlaubs spontan vorbeigekommen. Der Besitzer nahm sich Zeit und die Herstellung und das Familienunternehmen zu erklären. Er zeigte uns das Grundstück und wir durften auf eigene Faust zu einem wunderschönen kleinen Plätzchen gehen, an welchen normalerweise Weinproben abgehalten werden. Eine herrliche Location mit riesigen Olivenbäumen. Wir kauften mehrere Sorten und uns haben alle geschmeckt, sogar der in der Plastikflasche abgefüllte Wein war überragend. Drüber hinaus war man so freundlich uns die Bestellung nach Deutschland zu erklären. Die Preise sind sehr erschwinglich!

We called in advance to do a quick tasting at the winery since we were passing. We were made to feel very welcome and our host was extremely kind, taking time to explain the process of making their wine and show us around. We were then offered the chance to try a selection of white and red wine. They were all very good. Our absolute favourite was the Follia, which is an exceptional Nero D’avola.
