Such a great experience in a place so far away from the crowded cities!

My parents brought me here as a surprise. Boy didn't I expect such a place. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't squealing as soon as we arrived. We visited on a Friday of July, just in the first few days, which apparently is the best period to come here: amazing weather, less probability to find a cloudy sky, and most importantly, not too many people. The fact that we were quite a small group, gave us the chance to see through telescopes with our own eyes! I can't forget about the amazing food. A vast range of dishes to try, zero kilometer food, and a really friendly chef who cares a lot about his creations. Different activities for the whole family, which give the opportunity to learn while having loads of fun. I almost refuse to believe such a place is located so close to my hometown: and despite living here, there are still so many things to discover.

It combines an observatory, a planetarium, a meteorite museum, a sun dial park, and a research center. The tour is informative and enjoyable for both adults and kids, the location is amazing, the building is all new, and the people are extremely nice. I would love to go back in the summer to do guided night observation of the sky. The restaurant on the premises has amazing food - reserve a table with a view in advance! You should also visit Isnello nearby and climb up to the castle's ruins while you are there. The road to reach the observatory is also where they run the Targa Florio, the world's oldest sports car racing event. It was in pretty bad shape when I was here, but still, the views and the emotional high were well worth the extra attention...

Bellissima esperienza ma con un paio di punti da rivedere... Lacation molto affascinante e suggestiva, davvero curatissima, dai wc ai fili d'erba fuori, tutto nuovo, curato e pulitissimo che quasi non ci si sente in Sicilia... Si raggiunge facilmente, si parcheggia bene e se si cena lì, si mangia bene e al giusto prezzo. Team molto gentile e davvero competente, che in modo dettagliato ti erudisce sui temi trattati. È proprio quì però che abbiamo riscontrato un problema. Avendo la possibilità di scegliere se fare solo pomeriggio, o anche il dopocena che termina con una bellissima esperienza live con i telescopi, il team non ha tenuto conto di questo, illustrando in alcuni casi le stesse identiche tematiche per due volte... perciò se alle 18 mi hai fatto 20 minuti di interessantissimo spiegone sul sole o sulla leggenda di Andromeda, cavolo, non me la rifare uguale appena dopocena...con tutte le tematiche che ci sarebbero da trattare è davvero uno spreco ti tempo... il risultato è stato che ci sono stati dei momenti veramente noiosissimi vista la ripetività dell'argomento, che soprattutto per un bambino diventa il colpo di grazia su argomenti già impegnativi per loro e per nulla esposti a misura di bambino... Un consiglio è quello di controllare le condizioni meteo e soprattutto orari di alba e tramonto della luna per avere un esperienza davvero spaziale, il cielo lì è pazzesco anche senza bisogno di telescopio, ma con la luna in cielo, la protagonista probabilmente sarà lei e addio via lattea. Altro consiglio è quello di non dimenticare di prenotare anche al ristorante per la cena... Ci tornerei? Assolutamente si, spero però possano stare più attenti al programma della giornata in modo da non essere ripetitivi con chi sceglie l'esperienza " full day " che nonostante questo consiglio...
