Ferdinando's wine tasting is a great experience which I highly recommend to everyone that either has an interest in good wine or is curious to know something about it. At first Ferdinando showed us his vineyard and explained the organic and hand-made techniques they use to grow their grapes. Afterwards, we moved inside where he showed us the cellar and talked through the process of wine production. And then he opened the curtains that separate the cellar and the wine tasting room and a wonderful table appeared in front of us, covered with all the most delicious typical food from the Lucca area and his bottles of wines. He explained us how to taste his amazing wine and we spent there a lovely time eating and drinking together in a very familiar and friendly environment . I will never drink wine in the same way again!...

If you’re in the area of Lucca looking for family-made, top-quality wine, then you must visit Ferdinando and his winery.

This isn’t a huge corporate winery with crowds of people drinking mediocre wine. Ferdinando and his son are very passionate about making exceptional organic wine on their property by traditional methods.

They produce three different wines, each with its own range of flavor and character and each truly magical.

I’ve not met a more passionate wine maker in my travels and it really shows in the finished product.

My family and I enjoyed spending time in the cellar drinking wine, tasting local cheese and absorbing everything that we could.

I hate to post this, thinking that our little secret might get out but if you are in Lucca, you just taste Ferdinando’s wine, you will...

Love Francesco! We had a great private wine tasting complete with a tour, history, and delicious snacks to complement the wine. Francesco mentioned he's one of if not the only winery to offer orange wine so be on the look out for that.

Francesco is great, he's accommodating and caters to the energy of the guests: in this case we shared dating and romantic stories that grew in color as the wine continued to pour. What's said during a wine tasting stays in the winery!

The place is small but it lends to its charm. Best to call ahead as it's really only open by appointment. The bigger wineries are easier to drop in and they are good, but do include Cantina Biagiotti in your Tuscany travels regardless, as the wine, the vineyard, and Francesco all have...

We had an amazing lunchtime tasting this week at Cantina Biagiotti with Francesco. One of the best wine tastings we have ever experienced, and we live here in Lucca and manage to explore the vineyards regularly. The red wine managed to convert a non wine drinker to the cause, and the macerated whites are right up our street. We spent about 3 hours exploring the vines, learning about the winemaking process and finally stuffing our faces and trying the wines. Even if you aren’t a big wine fan, the experience, knowledge and passion, as well as the amazing selection of local food will be worth the visit. Francesco is a superstar, really friendly, speaks amazing English and loves what he does.

This was the pinnacle experience of me and my girlfriend's trip to Toscana. Francesco gave us a quick tour around the family-owned 3,5 acre vineyard, which was founded by his ancestors many years ago. The passion for quality wine clearly runs in hos bloodline. We had a delicious lunch with cheese, ham, sausages and bread and tasted a white and a red wine which were both amazing. Complex structures, well-balanced and paired well with the food. The total value for money was tremendous, and we would recommend an afternoon at Cantina Biagiotti to anyone who enjoys wine.
