Ferdinando's wine tasting is a great experience which I highly recommend to everyone that either has an interest in good wine or is curious to know something about it. At first Ferdinando showed us his vineyard and explained the organic and hand-made techniques they use to grow their grapes. Afterwards, we moved inside where he showed us the cellar and talked through the process of wine production. And then he opened the curtains that separate the cellar and the wine tasting room and a wonderful table appeared in front of us, covered with all the most delicious typical food from the Lucca area and his bottles of wines. He explained us how to taste his amazing wine and we spent there a lovely time eating and drinking together in a very familiar and friendly environment . I will never drink wine in the same way again!...

Iâve not met a more passionate wine maker in my travels and it really shows in the finished product.

Francesco is great, he's accommodating and caters to the energy of the guests: in this case we shared dating and romantic stories that grew in color as the wine continued to pour. What's said during a wine tasting stays in the winery!
The place is small but it lends to its charm. Best to call ahead as it's really only open by appointment. The bigger wineries are easier to drop in and they are good, but do include Cantina Biagiotti in your Tuscany travels regardless, as the wine, the vineyard, and Francesco all have...
