Amazing! The way up is difficult and could take longer if you are not used to it. The way back takes less time but I would say that it's tricky if you have a big backpack and it's raining (like for us today morning). The view is mind-blowing! We really enjoyed the time over there and decided to stay the night (totally worth it). The people running the Refugio Rosalba are super nice and warm! 🌈 The food it's delicious! They gave us advice and were very caring. 📢 You should listen the experts when they tell you something, they only want to help you and make your journey more enjoyable. I definitely recommend to call first and ask for a reservation if you're planning to spend the night in the Refugio, but if you're not gonna, you can always have a nice warm food and go back. The Refugio has beds to spend the night, which I found very comfortable and cozy. There are a couple paths to go to the Refugio, I recommend you to have a look of the meanings of the grading system always and enjoy the way up!

Partito dal parcheggio dei Piani dei Resinelli (LC), prendendo la via della Carlanta, raggiungo il sentiero n°9 chiamato delle Foppe e di difficoltà E, (Escursionisti). La parte iniziale del sentiero comincia in un bosco di Faggi, con pendenza lieve ed alcuni saliscendi che ci fanno guadagnare e perdere quota alternativamente. La parte centrale del sentiero comincia dopo aver attraversato una delle frane della Grigna Meridionale che porta il nome di val S'Cepina. Da qui il sentiero comincia a salire in maniera più marcata su terreno terroso con ciottolame sparso di media grandezza. L'esposizione, alla parete scoscesa, è presente in alcuni tratti ma percorrendo il fianco della montagna saremo sempre protetti su un lato. L'ultima parte del sentiero si snoda a tornanti su terreno roccioso e acciotolato, con brevi tratti più ripidi. La pendenza aumenta e ci si trova completamente allo scoperto e con vista sul lago di Lecco, il triangolo Lariano e le splendide guglie della Grigna. A questo punto il rifugio sarà in vista. Posto su un piccolissimo altopiano, domina a 270 gradi l'intero arco delle Alpi e Prealpi. Ottima cucina realizzata dai gestori, ragazzi giovani e volenterosi, che con disponibilità intrattengono i clienti. Al suo interno ci sono 46 posti letto poco meno posti per mangiare ma la posizione offre per TUTTI, una indimenticabile esperienza. Visitare il loro sito è d'obbligo.

If you’re looking for a nice trail to hike while being near Como, this is it! The hike to this rifugio and back takes around 4 hours. Its not too challenging, but it can get a bit steep. The route is marked on the app maps.me, useful app! At the top you can enjoy some lunch and the view over the mountains/lakes. At some parts of the hike you can see similarities to the Dolomites with nice rock formations. You can park near the start of the hike as well!
