This MotoGP circuit is in my opinion, one of the safest circuits at all, even though it is very fast. First of all, the circuit is absolutely flat which makes this circuit so safe. I know, for many it means less thrill, but in change you have no tricky or blind spots or spots where the grip suddenly changes. The other thing is, that you see very far and into every corner. In some places you see even the second next corner or even more. The asphalt is flawless. Superb grip. Now comes the best part. In every corner, there is a wide (i mean a few meters wide) run off area made of asphalt. I can't imagine, what you would have to do, to end in the gravel... Well, crashing, I suppose. :)
It's also the perfect circuit to go to, if you have a family. Located only about 1,5Km from the sea and Riviera in the holiday province of Rimini... How better can it get? You can get accommodated near the circuit and your family can go to the beach, while you are riding on the circuit.
Another thing is, that you are in Italy and every time I was in Italy, people were very kind and friendly. The food is also great everywhere, even on the circuit (Who doesn't like italian food, right?).
The pits are quite big and from the main Building, you can see a big part of the track.
The most unique thing is that the pits are outside of the track. Therefore the motorcycles and cars are riding right next to the pitwall! Riding on my motorcycle 270 next to the wall was nothing strange, but standing there and looking, how other motorcycles pass by just 1,5m next to your head... Oh boy! That is something unforgettable.
The only bad part is the gas station. It is great, that there is a gas station on the circuit. But why can't we pay with a normal credit or EC card?! The gas station wants you to pay via a special application and trust me, it is the worst app to activate and register I have ever seen. Horror! Only my friend was able to activate it on his iPhone. My Android didn't work. That's the only bad thing I can imagine.
If you are going alone or just with your friends, go off season. I was there October 2022 and it was perfect. No tourists, everything was calm and the weather was perfect. We had like 18°C and sunny. Perfect! Though it makes finding a...
Read moreI attended the 2019 MotoGP. From Cattolica I hired a bike and cycled the 4 miles to the circuit for each of the 3 days. I would recommend this as the traffic on Saturday and race day Sunday was really bad. On the Friday I walked the circuit and found good viewing form the meadow 1 and 2 areas but no tv screens. For Saturday and race day I had tickets for the Rossi Brutapela Gold Grandstand with excellent views over the end of the main pit straight and through Valante Parco and Rio corners. Quite a lot of overtakes (and crashes) here. The sun starts the day behind you but come 1.00pm you need sun cream and a hat. There were 3 tv screens in front of the Grandstands to follow the action. Plenty of toilets and drink/food outlets abound and many merchandising stands. The whole week this year was sunshine from start to finish so it made a great holiday and...
Read moreWorst experience of a GP ever!!! Roads around the track are full of holes, dirt, grass. No signs to go somewhere,it looks like a prison with a big wall. The italians have houses and terrain around the track and transform them in unoficial car parks overnight and ask for money to park. The circuit offers some of the shitiest car parks i’ve seen. The staff are totaly unprepared, noone knew were the fan zone is,not even those who sold the tickets. And btw you are not allowed to do nothing, you go to your seat and that’s it,you are not allowed to go round the track for other shops or fan zone.Outside of the circuit are all the fake shops. Expensive also,2 tickets 480€,bought 9 months in advance. Don’t be fooled, don’t go ever to italy to watch GP-s. We also got our wallets stolen on the...
