Spiaggia di Porto Ghiacciolo — Attraction in Monopoli

This is one of the sandy beaches you can find if you come from Monopoli or Polignano a Mare! The sea is very close to that awesome light blue and the panorama is fantastic, mixing sand with rocks like in a postcard. It is just a pity to find the sand not clean, with pieces of glasses and plastic around. Plus, the entrance is far from being free. The only parking lot available is on payment...4 euros for cars and 2 euros for motos.. Come on. I also had to ask for the bill, otherwise they do not...

We made a special trip to this beach based on the positive reviews, however we would strongly not recommend if you have young children. Although we can see why the beach itself is beautiful, it was overcrowded with loud party music at full volume, and seemed to be more of a party beach rather than a family friendly beach. There was lots of broken glass on the sand, and also in the water, as well as people smoking weed. It did not feel clean at all and we were keen...

Non a caso si chiama Porto Ghiacciolo..! L'acqua ha correnti calde e fredde che a mio avviso sono divertenti e rigeneranti, in alcune giornate si sentono di più, in altre meno. Ampio parcheggio a pagamento (€4),doccia a 50centesimi,bagno a offerta(vogliamo un bagno pulito?riconosciamo il lavoro).Chi reputa costoso il parcheggio anche se ci sta 10ore forse non ha mai parcheggiato in una citta' o in altri luoghi di mare..e chi se ne frega se abusivo,non lo fosse stato sarebbe costato 10,12,20 euro e non sarebbe andato bene cmq. Breve tratto a piedi x raggiungere la caletta che non è assolutamente divisa a metà. 3/4 libera ed 1/4 lettini privati sotto al caratteristico bar con terrazza sul mare. Direi che la comodità di avere una spiaggia libera servita su un mare così bello dovrebbe far andare oltre i disagi. Certo che se si arriva a mezzogiorno ad agosto si fatica a trovare posto..alzatevi prima. Cmq al pomeriggio si svuota un po' e c'è rotazione. Del resto è una caletta,se avesse km infiniti di sabbia non sarebbe più tale e non si avrebbe nemmeno un panorama tanto suggestivo e nemmeno un mare dove a 9metri di profondità vedi il fondale. Senza nemmeno pagare. .e cmq ci sono gli scogli laterali.Il mattino ha l'oro in bocca.. E le bocche parlano...
