Visiting Casanova di Neri was one of the highlights of our time in Tuscany — a perfect blend of heritage, beauty, and excellence. What made it truly exceptional was being welcomed and guided by Simona Bianchi, whose warmth, knowledge, and passion made the experience feel personal and unforgettable. Founded in 1971 by Giovanni Neri, Casanova di Neri is today one of the most prestigious and respected producers in Montalcino, known around the world for its Brunello di Montalcino and Rosso di Montalcino wines. The estate’s commitment to quality is apparent in every detail — from the stunning architecture and serene vineyard views to the meticulous care in winemaking that you can taste in every glass. Simona brought the estate’s history and philosophy to life with ease and elegance. Her depth of knowledge and love for the land made us feel connected to something much larger — a legacy of craftsmanship rooted in the Tuscan soil. The wines themselves are phenomenal: elegant, balanced, and expressive of place. The Giovanni Neri Rosso di Montalcino was a particular standout — refined yet powerful, with real aging potential. This is not just a wine tasting — it’s an immersion into the heart and soul of Italian winemaking. If you’re in Tuscany, Casanova di Neri with Simona is a must. Come for the wine, stay for the story. Grazie mille, Simona — ci hai toccato il cuore.

We had an unforgettable wine tasting experience at Casanova di Neri, hosted by Simona. From the moment we arrived, Simona’s warm and knowledgeable approach set the tone for an exceptional visit. She shared the rich history and passion behind the winery, making us feel like welcomed guests rather than just visitors. The location is breathtaking, with stunning vineyard views and a peaceful atmosphere that enhances the experience. The tasting featured standout Brunellos. Each wine was beautifully presented and truly memorable. What made the visit extra special were the generous pours, thoughtful surprises and the impeccable food pairings that reflected the Neri family’s deep respect for their craft (their olive oil is delicious). If you love wine or are simply looking for a unique, high-quality experience in Montalcino, I highly recommend a visit to Casanova di Neri. The attention to detail and breathtaking surroundings made this a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

I have been drinking their wine for the last few years in Singapore. While in Italy, I noticed that they were an hour away from my hotel. Was lucky to get a lunch and tasting reservation last minute. We started with lunch. Both the quality of service and food were excellent. I had the Zucchini Balls and Lamb Chops. Both were very flavorful and went well with their Brunello. Our server, I think her name is Leticia, was very friendly, knowledgeable and well spoken. The tasting was amazing, we tried 8 or 9 wines and picked up a couple of bottles. Overall, this is my favourites Brunello and I am glad I could experience the winery.

Although we really wanted to love our stay at Cassanova di Relais, we were disappointed from the moment we checked in. Our reception welcome lacked enthusiasm and excitement for our stay.

The first night in our suite was extremely hot and did not cool down, when we brought to their attention, it was only met with excuses. Although it wasn’t really fixed, they did give us a fan that helped our sleep the second night.

The facility is beautiful and the woman who served us breakfast was wonderful and pleasant. She should be in the reception, greeting guests!

Then, unfortunately on our departure date, we were not told about a code needed to leave. When we arrived at the gate, after calling the front desk, the code did not work & we waited 20 minutes in our car for the gate to be opened.

The woman who lead our wine tasting was very knowledgeable and extremely pleasant.

We have stayed at many nice resorts and hoped this experience would be similar, but unfortunately, for the...
