Fattoria del Teso is a beautiful large and well-maintained wine estate. We booked a tour and wine tasting via the website. Our group consisted of 9 people. Sommelier Roberta showed us around and explained the different grapes that are grown on the premises. Many vines were empty as the harvest had just started.
Inside she quickly showed us the old barrel cellar and then we proceeded to the tasting. The focus was mainly on tasting and less on the process of how the wine is made.
Together with bread, olive oil, cheese and other antipasti we tasted 8 different wines: Montecarlo Bianco DOC, Chardonnay del Teso IGT, Vermentino IGT, Orange del Teso IGT, Montecarlo Rosso DOC, Montecarlo Rosso Riserva DOC, Anfidiamante IGT (Super Tuscan) and Vinsanto DOC 1998.
Fattoria del Teso is known for their Vinsanto that has rested in wooden barrels for 23 years. After the tasting there was also the possibility to purchase the wines we...

First of all the experience was the total package. We began with a beautiful introduction and walk through the vineyards. Roberta the guide told us amazing stories about the vineyards. We did also taste the raw grapes. From the merlot grape to the sangio vesa grape.
Roberta told us all about the history of fattoria del teso and made the whole experience complete, very intresting.
After the walk, we went wine tasting. You can see in some of the pictures. We got a great wine tasting with products whom perfectly matched. It was a taste explosion in my mouth.
Started with the 3 whites wines and ended with 3 red wines, all high quality wine. I would totally recommend it!
They also let you this some extra special wines, even a dessert wine from 1999.
Price: 30 euro for this amazing experience, must do when you are visting near by. I was in montecatini. Only...
Read moreStumbled across this winery online and managed to book a last minute tour for the same afternoon. It was far beyond expectations. There was no one else on our tour so we had Jessica all to ourselves (2 adults and one toddler). We had a wonderful walk around their beautiful vineyards with montecarlo as the backdrop. Next we entered the wine tasting area and tried 6 wines accompanied by a very generous (and delicious) serve of local cold meats, cheese and olive oil. Jessica was informative, friendly, patient (we had a 2 year old!) and the wines were so good. Prior to this tour we had visited the local mainstream winery which everyone had recommended (I won't name it but everyone knows it!) and we found Fattoria Adel Teso Srl to be far superior in both wines and service. We would highly recommend visiting Fattoria Adel Teso Srl and...
