Of all the wineries we visited in the area this summer, this one was truly special. Federico, the sommelier, was not only incredibly knowledgeable about wine, but also so warm and welcoming. A lot of famous wineries can feel a bit snobbish, but the atmosphere here was genuinely friendly and inviting from start to finish.
The tour of the historic cellars was absolutely fascinating. While the tasting fee is similar to other wineries, the experience here is a much better value—you get to try seven distinct wines, each with its own unique character. They were all so good, I wanted to buy every single one!
We are so glad we found this place. It's the perfect spot to bring friends when they visit Italy. Their online booking follow-up was also excellent.
One small tip: the lady at the reception seemed new to the system. If you need an invoice for your wine purchases, it might help to provide your details in advance to make the checkout...
Read moreI recently visited Scacciadiavoli, and it was fantastic. Their wines are top-notch, especially the basic reds and their complex, well-structured Sagrantino. Every sip shows off their dedication to quality.
Wine Quality: Scacciadiavoli’s wines are impressive. The basic reds are smooth and full-bodied, perfect for any occasion. The Sagrantino stands out with its rich, complex flavor and well-structured profile but not too heavy.
Overall Experience: The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, making the tasting sessions fun and informative. The tasting room overlooks beautiful vineyards, adding to the experience.
If you love great wine and a wonderful atmosphere, Scacciadiavoli is a must-visit. Highly...
Read moreA highlight of our trip. The winemaking happens in a cleverly engineered 19th century building with a system of levels and pipes that allow gravity to assist in moving the grapes from press to barrel. The wine is great! I particularly liked the passito, which is amazing with dark chocolate, and the 100% sagratino sparkling rose. We did the S. P. Experience tasting so had a couple of delicious panini with our tasting, made using products imported by the family that owns the winery. The team at Scacciadiavoli was exceptionally kind. We very much hope to have a chance to visit on a future trip, and we have several great bottles to recall the experience in...
