Cantina Fuccelli — Attraction in Montefalco

We had the most wonderful experience here. Liliana was an excellent host. We got to learn about their winery, the process about how they make their wines, how large their yields are and about the surrounding area. We also got to taste the honey they make on site as well (and also sell) . It was so fresh and delicious! The food pairings were incredible! Everything was farm to table and of top quality. The olive used during the food pairings is also made on site and available for purchase (we bought some to take home). As for the wine tasting, we got to try five wines, all that were delicious. We tried a number of other wines that day from other wineries and these were our favourite! We bought a few bottles to take home but wish we could bring more home with us. Liiana (co-owner of the Cantina) was fantastic and such a sweetheart. They (it’s just her and her husband running the business) make all their products by hand, which is reflected in the pure taste of every food. We tried all of their 5 wines, served with a crazy amount of food: starting with the bruschettas with homemade tomato sauce, the local Colfiorito beans, the homemade: olive oil, ricotta, honey, prosciutto and salami… mouthwatering The quality of the wines is also extraordinary, the pure Sagrantino was our favourite. The Sagrantino passito for the dessert was unique, didn’t try anything similar before. Everything tastes amazing, not comparable to anything we usually buy at the store. We stumbled upon this winery by chance, and it turned out to be one of the absolute highlights of our trip. Lilly was beyond amazing - we felt such a genuine connection with her from the moment we arrived. She is truly beautiful inside and out, with a warmth and passion that made the entire experience feel personal and unforgettable.

The wine? Outstanding. Every glass was better than the last, and perfectly paired with the food - which was insanely good. Lilly is not only a gracious host but also an incredibly talented cook. Each dish that came out was creative, delicious, and made with so much love.
