To get to this beach you can take the bus 5prt ( porto instana) and arrive here in less then 30 minutes. On the way to the beach the bus is usually not to crowded and they are always running, but on the way back the latest bus was at 18h and be at the bus stop a little bit earlier because you can experience long queues. About the beach, you have plenty of room and also a lot of small beaches that you can walk to, don't count on getting a beach chair, they were all booked, but most of them empty.... crystal clear water with thin sand, water around 22 to 24 degrees. I loved the beach although i must say something....while in my towel a sea bird, injured, appeared, I managed to carefully grab it and took it to the lifeguards hopping that they would call sea life authorities....big mistake...those kids didn't knew what to do and told me to put the bird somewhere in the forest close to the beach...to die...they also told me that they didn't care about it... I've emptied one of the large boxes they had and left the bird with them, also gently covering the box leaving two big wholes so the bird wouldn't suffocate, don't know what happened to the bird because i left hopeless for the poor bird. Sad, when all the people that were staring also didn't helped and sad when you try your best to preserve the local wildlife and nobody cares about it.... It's forbiden to take sand, coral or shells from Sardenha ( first message you see when you arrive to the airport, which i totally agree) but leaving a bird to his unfortunate fate is alright.... just sad...
Read moreAbsolutely stunning beach. White sand, clear water, was crowded but bearable, got really crowded in the afternoon. Not a lot of parking spaces in the organised (but not manned) parking lot, but managed to find a space on the road like the locals did... You can rent a bed and a parasol there or bring your own there is space for both. Lifeguard who is also the person taking money for the beds was super rude. Asked me to leave my space (bed and parasole) as I was on my own and there was a family of four wanting my space (which means more money for him) so he came with an excuse that they have "reserved" the space, which was a total lie as no where to be found/ internet mentioned anything about you being able to reserve a bed... (Needles to say I was shocked toy core as I was sitting there for over an hour and was asked to give my bed up, with no proper solution as all other beds were occupied. Lucky for me I had a parasole with me so just opened it on the area allocated for this but was an unpleasant experience.) There was a bar on the beach, not sure what they were selling as I brought my own stuff and there was also a restaurant/bar near the parking lot. There is also a bus that gets there if you are without a car but if you are with a car was 20 minutes drive from...
Read moreI absolutely loved this beach. Coming here immediately after leaving the beaches of Greece i can say that this is probably one of my favorite beaches. The water was clean and clear and most importantly for me, it was warm. Reminded me of the Caribbean or Lindos beach in Rhodes. Of you like warm water then this is your place. I did not want to leave. There are some things to note though. Parking is a nightmare!!! I parked up the road maybe 1km away and walked to beach. There are 2 parking lots on the road but they were full. If you can take the bus down maybe do that but I don't know how the bus schedules work there.
Super crowded. Some sunbeds are available but I think they belonged to local hotels for their guests. You can go over to the next area but you have to climb over some rocks and I was not willing to do that as I have a bad knee
This was my favorite beach in the olbia region but I only visited 3 of the many beaches. I am also not an adventurous person who likes to...
