This paradise is much the best place near Otranto to enjoy the clear blue sea. We walked down from the bauxite quarry. Easy 1 km. Lovely place, beautiful water, not very crowded. We arrived by bike from the path from the Bauxite quarry and then we went out from the beach path. Not very convenient to reach it but definitely worth it. It is not crowded, no need to book. The place is worth all the time it takes...

Siamo stati alla spiaggetta dell'Orte una sabato mattina di fine luglio. Dopo aver parcheggiato al parcheggio della cava di Bauxite abbiamo camminato per 10 minuti fino alla spiaggia. Siamo arrivati verso le 10 di mattina e la zona era veramente poco affollata, con solo 3/4 gruppi di persone. Vi sono diverse calette in cui è possibile scendere per accedere in acqua. Noi siamo scesi nella caletta più grande, attraverso una discesa di sassi non troppo comoda, ma molto breve (noi avevamo ombrellone, seggiolina e borsa frigo). La piccola spiaggetta è sassosa e fare snorkeling tra le rocce della baia è stato molto piacevole, l'acqua era molto limpida! Essendo rivolta a est l'ombra è arrivata piuttosto presto.
