Sea 5/5: wonderful clean water. I loved it!

Sand 2/5: our sunbeds were OK, but the sand was full of cigarettes, not exactly what you can expect for the money you pay.

Parking 3/5: expect some creative parking if you go in the afternoon. The place can only be reached by car

Services offered 1/5: there is a big kiosk that manages both the beach umbrellas and sunbeds + cafe + restaurant + showers and toilets. If you arrive at lunchtime, as I did, be prepared for a queue. You may get lucky and find a good spot on the beach . From the beginning there is no distinction between the queues for getting the sunbeds or paying for the restaurant (expect some chaos), no information either. Just go straight to the cashier for information . Although you can pay with debit/credit cards, it may happen the pos terminal won't work, so bring some cash with you. The staff is not rude, nor friendly, just neutral, if you don't like chit-chat this place is for you. The price for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella is 30 euros in August (slightly less in July). I didn't go to the restaurant, however I got a large bottle of water for 2 euros (not bad). While queueing to pay the water, a lady skipped the line and the cashier just served her, without caring for me (I was waiting in the queue for 2 mins already) . Very rude. Other big issue there was no water in the showers, nor in the toilet sinks, nor in the toilets. Not great after a day spent on the beach.

Nice beach, beautiful view, amazing sunset, the water was populated of nice little fishes, and not particularly crowded in an afternoon in the middle of August. Be aware that you may need to park slightly away from the actual "lido" location, but it's worth a walk. The location itself is pretty great. One of the best spots in Sicily (I am Sicilian). pessima esperienza: arriviamo senza prenotazione alle 14 (abbiamo telefonato 4 volte di mattina senza alcuna risposta) chiediamo per una postazione e mi dicono 4 fila 50 euro. faccio notare il prezzo un po altino e che siamo in orario pomeridiano per avere un piccolo sconto (senza pretenderlo sia chiaro) e mi risponde il ragazzo "eh ma lo sconto lo facciamo alle 15". capisco che sarà un brutto pomeriggio per noi. poteva prendere in giro i nuovi clienti dicendo "50 euro e vi offro un caffè o due gettoni per la doccia" (dopo capirete). chiedo una postazione migliore ci rifila una 3 fila. ci accompagna il bagnino (il quale non dovrebbe fare questo) ed imbarazzatissimo ci apre le due sdraio sporchissime di sabbia in quante utilizzate fino a dieci minuti prima. almeno mettere un ragazzo che si occupi solo di accompagnare la gente, sistemare e pulire le postazioni. le sdraio sono una rotta, l'altra malfunzionante. chiedo sempre al bagnino di poterla cambiare e mischino me ne rifila un'altra sempre rotta (dopo mezz'ora me la sostituisco io con un'altra poco più sopra chiusa di altro colore e altro modello funzionante). ombrelloni: rustici (tronchi di carpenteria con chiodi a mo di perni) e quasi tutti in condizioni di pessimo stato bucati e rotti, sembrano abbandonati a sé stessi. nessuna musica in filodiffusione (non dico dj set) però grazie a qualche venditore ambulante che passa ogni dieci min si ascolta qualche strofa. bagno uomini uno è rotto e non utilizzabile, l'altro sembra un bagno di una stazione indiana. ristorante non abbiamo mangiato nulla ma i piatti sembrano buoni. prezzi non saprei. in compenso abbiamo respirato dalla nostra postazione distante una trentina di metri circa dalla cucina tutto il pomeriggio una fastidiosissima puzza di frittura di pesce. docce: una ragazza che non conosco al bar chiede presumo alla proprietaria come funziona e la signora prima risponde in modo gentile "50 cent per un gettone", la ragazza risponde pensavo visto il prezzo fosse compreso.. e la signora con toni poco accoglienti ribatte "io l'acqua la pago e pago le tasse". ci guardiamo esterrefatti commentando dopo 50 euro un gettone potevano darlo. ps le tasse e l'acqua la paghiamo tutti. acqua e spiaggia top (siamo pur sempre all'isola delle correnti). vicini di ombrellone e bagnanti in genere tutta gente molto tranquilla senza zaurdi (almeno questo). più che un lido sembra una struttura alla buona buttata li per fare soldi a discapito di chi va. ho passato...

Wonderful beach, clean and warm water. There are few establishments around therefore you’ll always find someone open if you’d like to have a quick bite or a drink…or if you’ll have to use the loo. Not aure about the prices of beds and umbrella as we didn’t need them. The parking spaces are off-road so be careful when driving there as you can easily damage the car if you don’t pay attention. From time to time you’ll find a local guy asking, without insisting, for some change in exchange for “looking after the car” while you’re at the beach. He’s a good guy and if you ask he gives you recommendation on what to do or visit in the local area. If you have some spare coins, just give them to him. It’ll...
