Such a cool place. We were actually supposed to stay here in a cottage set up as a B&B, but a last minute plumbing issue forced us to stay elsewhere. However, not only did the owner, Mario, find us alternate accommodation at a nearby ranch house B&B run by his niece, he still welcomed us to come visit his mill for a private tour and demo, as the mill also doubles as a small museum. He also gave me permission to fish the stream that powers the mill for a native species of trout. In addition to making flour, he also makes extra virgin olive oil from olives grown on the surrounding farm land. In addition to the olive orchard, Mario grows lavender, which he makes in to lavender oil and lavender water. I definitely plan on returning in the future, and staying...
