Where shall I start. We were planning on a relaxing beach day away from the crowds, as we like the more rocky beaches. We heard that Capo Gallo was the place for us, so we started our Journey. With a capital J. That was a bit more than just a 'relaxing beach day'. We started with trying to find a place to park (be prepared it's gonna be tough), but managed eventually. We embarked on an unexpected journey through the National Park and then while looking for a entrance to the rocky shore we ended up going on an insanely beautiful but intense hike through the stunning scenery. After a few hours we decided to turn back since we couldn't find a place to enter the beach, and perched ourselves on the rocky slabs close to the park entrance. Massive sunburn and my flip-flops look like they've been devoured by a pack of hungry lions - but what astonishing, breathtaking views we had. Read moreA very beautiful place, especially if you would like to avoid the crowd around Mondello Beach. You do need to get across of a couple of rocks in order to reach the sea. Locals are usually very well-equipped (rubber shoes, diving glasses, and sometimes swim fins). The water’s particularly clear and there are many little fishes moving around which is quite pleasant. Entrance fee: 1 euro per person Bus from Palermo Centrale: 101 to Via liberta piazza then change to 806, ride 806 until the terminus. Continue walking for about 5 minutes afterwards. For bus tickets: there is a ticket office on the left side of the Palermo Centrale train station. Buses are free for children.
