We booked a tour for this winery through Arianna & Friends. We had never heard of the winery before and not sure what to expect and I can tell you with thorough confidence that it was one of the best experiences we had whilst in Italy. The Winemaker Luciana was our guide for the winery and showed us through the garden (beautiful), family house (also beautiful) and the cellars all accompanied with history and stories. Luciano was amazing. She was extremely passionate and informative with gusto in every word, she really made the experience 10 times better and made us feel welcome the entire time.

Now for the wines/tasting. The wine is phenomenal. Each glass as good as the last and paired with a small antipasti. All from the Tuscany region and made utilising bio-dynamic methods. You could taste the care put into each type of wine from the vermentino, classic sangiovese and rosso blends. Personal favourite was the Venerosso. We liked it so much we bought 30 bottles. All with shipping to our home country of Australia (shipping for lots of countries available).

I recommend this winery to any person travelling through the region wanting good, traditional wine with the history to pair and the host of hosts walking you through it.

I would also recommend booking through Arianna and Friends, which was seamless experience with assistance in transport and another guide for the day who was...

We spent one week at the Santa Giulia apartment of the Agriturismo. The location is quite isolated (most worth sightseeing spots are at least an hour's drive away). The garden is beautiful, swimming pool is clean but not heated. In early May we found it was still too cold to bathe in. The apartment was well organised and we spent a comfortable week with three couples and a young chlid. Francesca the manageress was very helpful and gave good advice on the surrounding areas, points of interest, restaurants etc. One advice is that if you are a foodie and enjoy cooking, bring a good set of knives and a corkscrew - what was available at the apartment was not quite user-friendly or resistant to...

Bio(organic) wine and olive oil tasting that far exceeded expectations. The day I was there I was the only one so I got personalized attention from one of the members of staff. You will need to pay for your tasting, but don't let that put you off... it's worth the money you'll spend. I loved the wine so much in fact that I bought 4 bottles and 2 bottles of olive oil and had them shipped to my house (3 day delivery and no...

Wow! What a fun wine tasting experience and a STUNNINGLY gorgeous area. We were driving from Volterra to Lucca on a slow road trip and called on a whim to see if we could buy some wine. Instead we got a full on tasting, a tour of the cellar, and a truly wonderful experience! So much fun and the wine is to die for. Sorry if you had plans to buy bottle # 808 of the Viadimezzo...it's gone!! Don't miss this wonderful place!

We did the wine and olive oil tasting here with a short guided tour with explanations of the village (famous street with colored houses) & modern art, the beautiful garden and of course the wine cellar. It was absolutely worth it! Each wine and olive oil was passionately explained, these people understand their trade. And of course we could not leave without the most delicious wine and olive oil to take home.
