We got a taxi here from Verona. It costs €40 each way. The facilities of this place are fantastic. Full marks for facilities. Great choice of pools- loved the cold pool to dip into in between all the hot pool areas. The only thing missing is shower gel -which you should get for the pricey entry and they miss the swim togs water ringer machine so you leave with dripping togs. The pools and all facilities are totally clean. They are big so it did not feel too crowded. We had 7 year old so couldn’t use or comment on Sauna village The big flaw in this place is the organisation. It might be the worst I have seen in any place I’ve been. I cannot underestimate this bad management- when we went it was like they opened for the first time There was huge Que in - couple hundred people in front and the Que was outside the building. We Que for 1 hour 15 minutes. This place can easily take few hundred people but the organisation cannot take this. People arriving wit online tickets also had to Que- which makes buying online a silly idea. After 20 min a lady came out to separate the online ticket people. The Que did not move one inch for 30 mins as they only had 2 people at the ticket desk and they dealt wit online ticket people only 1st. There were children hysterical crying as they were in Que so long. And the Que was not really a Que it was a 5 people wide wit people skipping. It was Chaos. People should have been out organising the Que and they should have had all entry ticket tills working.
Your 4 hr ticket starts the minute u enter the turn style to time you leave. However the food Que in side are as disorganised as entry in. so if you want a drink ( which u will as u are in salty water wit NO water filters available which is dangerous) expect to Que about half hour for a drink. In our a Que there was ONE lady at the till. We had only about 20 people in front and we Que for 25 mins. This one lady operated the new orders, made coffeee, pour beers and went out to clean tables. Terrible organizing- people were getting so angry at her and it was not her fault- it’s bad management. Should have one person at till. Separate Que for food and separate Que for drink. Different person pouring drinks. Have management ever managed before? There was 2 managers- man wit beard in Navy suit and lady with Blond bob hair walking around doing nothing. Oh and when you have another big Que. if you have 4 hour ticket u must be at exist at least 20 mins as they charge you for every minute past the 4 hour ticket even if you are late because of Que to leave. The facilities are so so so amazing and I would return if management actually...
Read moreIt is a fine bath overall. It has some nice pools and good saunas. Albeit there are problems with it.
For one is the price. It is much higher than Erding which is probably four times the size of this one. Sure, Erding is the biggest one in Europe at least, but the question is how this one could be more expensive. It is the biggest in Italy, but again, the price for the size is too high.
Secondly, there is a Spa Lounge area that is so meticulously hidden away that I honestly have to question the architect's intentions or if there was an architect involved in the first place. You have to go through a small corner next to a quiet lounging area that not even a wheelchair can fit through.
Then the wheelchair friendliness (or unfriendliness) of this place. I have to add that there is a beautiful elevator for wheelchair users to get down into the changing area which is a big plus, but that is also how wheelchair friendliness ends. I asked if there were changing rooms and lockers for wheelchair users. The polite lady at the desk said yes, but there wasn't in the end as that part was being renovated and there was no alternative. My father who is in a wheelchair also went with us to the sauna area, but it was riddled with stairs and hard to reach places. He can walk a bit, but this was definitely too much and the lady at the desk didn't warn us, making it seem as if we were scammed out of money.
Lastly, the booking process. Buy a ticket online? No discount for disabled and you cannot even use the cards you can pay with on the regular counter either. The process is bizarre and complicated. You cannot buy an offer on the internet directly at the counter either.
Overall, it was a very disappointing experience and a very expensive one either. There were good points, like some of the pools or the pool bars, but generally for that price, it is simply too much. And that the staff doesn't seem to know that changing rooms for wheelchair users are being renovated or how the sauna looks like and is not warning its visitors well in advance is rather...
Read moreMy experience with Aquardens was terrible and extremely disappointing. After purchasing discounted tickets online for €80, we were informed upon arrival that they were not valid for that day due to a small hidden note about excluded dates. The staff at the reception assured us that we would receive a refund, so we were forced to buy new tickets for a total of €118 just to enter. We ended up spending an additional €118 for nothing! After waiting for two weeks, customer service denied any refund, even though the reception staff had guaranteed it. Without those assurances, we would have never bought the extra tickets.
Moreover, the wristbands for refreshments were a complete mess. They told us the amount on them was €9, but it turned out to be €10. This created unnecessary confusion at the bar.
As if this wasn't enough, the compensation offered was a date extension, but with such inflexibility that it was practically useless to us. Despite informing them that we don’t live near Verona and explaining our situation, they refused to offer any reasonable alternative. In the end, we lost the entire value of two tickets.
We were left feeling cheated, and this experience shows that at Aquardens, the customer’s needs come last. For a park that should be focused on relaxation and enjoyment, they seem more interested in trapping you into spending more. There are plenty of other thermal parks that value their customers and provide transparent, honest service. I highly recommend exploring those...
