A spur-of-the-moment detour that paid off in full.

We weren’t planning on stopping. One of those “let’s just see what’s down this road” kind of decisions. No agenda, no expectations. Just the promise of water and shade after too much sun.

And there it was. Cascate di Cornolade—tucked away, cool and quiet. A narrow path leads you in, and as you descend, the sound shifts: wind gives way to water, birds fade behind the crash and churn of the falls. Suddenly you’re not in Veneto anymore—you’re in some hidden Eden where the world slows down just enough for you to breathe again.

The falls aren’t massive, but they’re perfect. Crystal clear water tumbling over rock worn smooth by centuries. A little pool at the bottom, just enough for dipping toes or letting the kids go wild. Locals trickle in with towels, snacks, and no rush.

It’s not overrun. No ticket booth. No rope barriers. Just you, the water, and the moment you decided to take a side road instead of sticking to the plan. And that’s the point, isn’t it?

Five stars. Not for grandeur, but for the reminder that the best things are...

In completa tranquillità 👍

Soooooo beautiful… not a long way down to get to the waterfall… but might be tough for some. Definitely go check it out! Even if you think you might have a hard time getting down (there’s a tiny part, like a hill, that’s kinda steep right before the waterfall) would totally go back!

Note… there are two waterfalls at this location i started a video of one & a picture of the second (the one that’s a tiny bit...

It’s just a 5-minute walk to the top viewpoint of the waterfall. You can also book a bouldering experience down the waterfall for around €90 — prior booking is required. Alternatively, you can hike down on your own in about 5 minutes. The trail has ropes to help you safely reach the bottom, so hold on to them carefully. The place wasn’t crowded, and there’s no entry or parking fee.
